About Me

I love to sew, it is my passion. When I sew, I truly pour every ounce of effort into each and every stitch. I take great pride in my work because it reflects who I am as a business owner. Looking back, I never thought in a million years I would be a seamstress. It took me almost two hours to thread a machine for the very first time. So, I packed my sewing machine back in its nice shiny box (that still had a small bit of Christmas paper attached), and was pretty sure I wasn’t going to revisit it anytime soon. A few months later, I had my daughter and could not find newborn, Star Wars clothing. I pulled out my sewing machine, and was convinced that my very first project was going to be absolutely perfect. I mean, they all are right? Wrong!! I made the most hideous hand bag ever! (I still have that bag as a reminder of where I started) It was a start, and I figured if I can sew a bag, why not a dress? I went to the store, bought a few yards of Star Wars fabric, a pattern, thread, and binding. After a few hours, and becoming best friends with my seam ripper, going back to the store, and getting a few more yards of fabric (mind you, I only needed 1/2), the BB8 dress was born, and I just knew my baby would remember it for the rest of her life! Well, at least I would remember it for the rest of my life. Same thing right? From that point on, sewing came naturally.

Later, I moved on to alterations, and found that I excel in women’s formal wear. I have a knack for altering gowns with heavy beading and love to take on gowns that many would consider very challenging.

I have been featured in local magazines, newspapers and media outlets for the sewing I do as a volunteer. (click here to go to my news page) I don’t work. In fact, since I started sewing, I can honestly say that I have not worked a day in my life. I wake up every day, genuinely excited to start my newest project and work with my clients.
